    In 2019, Macedonia changed its name to North Macedonia despite there being no country of South Macedonia. So what’s going on here? Since its independence from Yugoslavia in 1991, Macedonia has gotten into hot water 
    with Greece because of its name. Greece didn’t like its name being the exact same as one of its regions, due to the confusion it could cause, and how it could encourage 
    Macedonia to seek “reunification” with the Macedonia to its South. As a result of Greece’s worries, they blocked Macedonia from 
    joining NATO and the EU until their name was changed. That’s why,

      It’s Macedonia there is no north unless ur willing to admit what most people in my country know. That land has been taken from us during the split. So George soros and Greece can choke on it!

      Why would they actually WANT to join the EU, don't they have enough beurocratic red tape and corruption as it is, joining the corrupt EU will only make their problems worse

      Yes, Alexander was born in Macedon.
      But what was Macedon?🇬🇷

      A Greek kingdom, populated by Greek-speaking people, worshipping Greek gods, using the Greek alphabet, sending athletes to the Olympic Games (which only Greeks could enter), building Greek temples, consulting Delphi, and writing in Attic and Koine Greek.

      Even their royal lineage traced back to Argos in the Peloponnese, home of Heracles. That’s why Philip II competed in Olympia because he was recognized as Greek by heritage.

      The snobbish attitude of some Athenian elites calling Macedonians "semi-barbaric" wasn’t about ethnicity. It was political rivalry, just like rich Athenians mocked Spartans too.
      But no one calls Spartans "non-Greek".

      When the Greeks united at Corinth in 337 BC, they proclaimed Philip as strategos autokrator of the Hellenes the Supreme Commander of all Greece in their war against Persia.
      They didn’t call him "Macedonian leader".
      They called him the leader of the Greeks.

      Alexander didn’t conquer the world as a northern anomaly, but as the torchbearer of Hellenism. He didn’t spread "Macedonianism".
      He spread the Greek language, Greek art, Greek science, Greek gods, and founded Greek cities from Egypt to India.

      And his name?
      ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΣ. Not "Aleksandrov", not "Aleksanter", not "Alyashka".

      Greece is the root.
      Macedon was the spear.
      Alexander was the thunder.

      And when he wept because there were no more worlds to conquer,
      the whole Earth already spoke Greek

      The issue with this video is you are sugarcoating and not telling the full truth. “Macednoans” have been trying to steal Greeces history for a very long time. Greece finally had enough of it. Now even tho that has been somewhat settled they still continue to steal the history of Bulgarians as well. And Bulgaria continues to block their access to EU due to it. “Macedonians” are a very problematic and disrespectful bunch of people, and because of it they are not respected much.

      Ελα βρε Κατσαπλιαδες! Εχει λυσει ο Στραβωνας αυτο ζητημα 2500 χρονια πριν σε μια προταση! Συζηταμε σημερα με τους σλαβοτσιγγανους τι ειναι η Μακεδονια! Αμα δεν λεγονται Μακεδονια θα τους μοιρασουν Αλβανοι και Βουλγαροι στη μεση γι αυτο παλευουν να μας πουν οτι ο ηλιος βγαινει απο τη Δυση! Αλλη μια παραγκα των Τουρκων κι αυτη!

      It was self called Macedonia in 1991. Magically they claim Alexander the Great as there’s. 🤣 still speak Bulgarian with a dialect, calm it Macedonian too 🤣. Makedon means tall and slim in Ancient Greek ( it was a tribe of Ancient Greece) they trace their lineage back to Thyia. They had to in order to compete in the Olympic Games which proves this. Philip I competed in them.
