  1. Use a chain length calculator to make sure the chain is the right lenght. Also, check the b screw tension

  2. It might be OK, or it might be a little long. Put it on the big cog, and with the suspension compressed see how many extra links you have. I couldn’t tell from the pics, Is that a double chainring?

  3. It’s probably the clutch mechanism. Suggest reducing clutch tension (if you can on that model). If not, try servicing the clutch (heaps of tutorials online).

Is that a yt? Check the derailed stop at the back of the derailer it might be in the wrong spot and the adjusting screw isn’t touching

  5. I don’t know if shimano has the same issue as SRAM UDH but I get this issue when it isn’t tightened in the proper order. all other standard fixes aside (chain length, b tension)

  6. It’s not a great video, but it looks like the chain is not properly routes through the rear derailleur.

  7. should post a few more pictures OP, from the looks of it the chain is too long when on the smallest rear cog, you may be able to solve it by increasing the b screw tension or adding a derailleur extender (shouldn’t have to if you haven’t modified anything from new)

  8. 1) check the chain length to make sure it’s set correctly

    2) make sure the derailleur is positioned on the derailleur hanger correctly so that the the derailleur is in the correct position relative to the cassette and that the b tension screw will work correctly

    3) dial in the b tension screw. Most of these modern derailleurs usually have a prescribed amount of b tension they should have based on the gap between the top pulley and the physically largest cog in the cassette

  9. Your video doesn’t show it clearly but if your derailleur isn’t mounted correctly it won’t tension the chain properly. Is the B screw resting in the correct position on the hanger?

The fact that it’s not stretching or tensioning the chain may be a clutch issue? If that’s a spring clutch then maybe it’s worn out or acting up. Maybe check that the B tension screw is hitting in the right spot too? I’d take the bike to the shop tbh though as 2 months is too short to have that issue on a derailleur.
