I made a rear rack mount for my fully-sprung bike. I plan to use this system on long tours. Will it damage the frame in the long run? I've used a trailer before, and the mounting adapter caused some wear.
I dont think you can mount it like that because it is resting on the quick release skewer itself which makes the axle sit in the dropouts less by maybe half a mm to 1mm on each side then if you put heavy stuff on the rack and go over a pot hole or bump it might end up pushing the wheel out of the dropout altogether. I dont think this design is safe and you should reconsider
