  1. I’m sure someone just repainted the frame and Plöja is the name for Ikea’s desk mats or something like that

  2. It’s probably lagoon blue Brompton with “bumble bee” fork and triangle or any other painted yellow. And IKEA stickers surely is for fun, like ppl who make backpacks etc out of ikea bags hence it’s fun. I can see appeal. As for no serials, either removed or this might be entirely bootleg job, there been a lot of look alike lately due to patent run out or something. If I’d be you I would snatch that frame if going for good price and build it up, surely it will be one of a kind.

  3. Ikea did make folding bikes once – I think as a staff gift. They were made by Raleigh though I think.

  4. What’s the simpler explanation?

    * Brompton, a mid-size bike manufacturer in Britain, has secretly entered into a partnership with [the world’s biggest charity &/or tax avoidance conspiracy &/or housewares store](https://www.economist.com/business/2006/05/11/flat-pack-accounting), and as part of this secret partnership, has established a one-off manufacturing operation in India, for some reason.
    * Some random fan of the world’s biggest charity &/or tax avoidance conspiracy &/or housewares store got a couple cans of spray paint and a sticker from an Ikea desk mat, and applied them to his/her bike.

So are you suggesting that we should go with the first one? 😉
