Hi all.
I’ve had giant road bikes for years and don’t want to be sucked into sticking with giant just because I like them.

Been looking at bikes for the son for Christmas. He will perfectly fit a small adult frame. So his giant ATX and frog bikes are now a thing of the past.

The three I can’t decide from are.
Grok has gave me good advice by the way but humans are far better to also rely on.

  1. Trek marlin 4 gen 3

  2. Giant talon 4

  3. Cube aim pro

It’s hard to comment as you can’t see the model name / specs of each bike. If they’re similar price points then there’s probably not much real difference in the bikes.

Obviously the purple colour of the Trek is sick, so would sway me!

I don’t know much about Cube, but Trek and Giant are both very well stocked in local bike shops, so if you ever need spare parts they’ll be easy to source.

If you share model details and any key differences in spec, that would help people advise

Anything against the Trek Roscoe? If you’re considering the Marlin, Id suggest going with the Roscoe instead. Its got better specs and is more trail dedicated.

    Happy hunting!

  3. Got both of my kids Marlins this spring, and they’ve been great. The bikes are inexpensive enough that I don’t stress about them when the kids go down, but they still don’t feel cheap. The components are solid and upgradable if they end up sticking with the same frame. My kids are still growing pretty quickly, so I don’t expect them to be on these frames past next year—but at this price, you’re not going to lose your shirt when it’s time to sell or donate.
