I'd like a front rack/basket for my Nishiki, I've never had one and really don't know which one to get.. I'd just carry my bag in it with my computer, groceries and tie my skateboard on it. I'm looking for some right now but I'm wondering what others use.

Check out the velo orange porteur. It’s very pricy, but well worth it. The black version would look slick on your bike.

You’ll be able to use P clamps if your bike doesn’t have rack mounts. Also it’s only $76 shipped from Indonesia. I’m picking up a raw one next run
