The prices in these are still sky high, Massive put off when the law's are still up in the sky, I have been told by a few people now, They had stress from the law coz of their E-bike, Some lost their E-bike because it was over 250w, It don't make sense saying coz of climate the Gov wants to reduce traffic, Isn't loads of people having PEV's going to reduce car traffic, Plus if the E-bikes was a lot cheaper then more people would buy one, In turn forcing the powers that be to make some law allowing high powered PEV, Because a PEV goes 50mph, That still do not explain why they are super expensive, The batteries these bikes take are around 500 pounds, The motor is about the same cost, So where do the extra cost come in, Do frames with suspension an breaks cost over 2 grand, It really do boggle my mind on how something that can do 60mph is so expensive, It is not new tech either in reality, lol, Honest if a lot more people was able to buy a high powered PEV, then more people would end up getting a high powered PEV, What should happen is a test, A day in a private place where people can take their PEV even if it is 20 thousand watts, lol, Charge 50 pounds to make sure that person can ride an handle that power, To be able to stop ect, Bit like a CBT but a a PEV, Even the Sur-ron bikes, 50 pounds a person for a PEV test, Would then bring in a lot of money for making area's PEV friendly, I even told Lidl's they should set up an area in inside the shop with someone standing gaurd an CCTV, With ways of stopping fire hazards, An boom people will take their E-bikes shopping when there is lock up inside the shop, Charge a pound so it pays for it's self, People will then take their expensive bikes shopping, In turn bringing traffic numbers down, In turn being better for the environment, There is still only a select few who can afford the price of an electric car after all…..
Bringing in a PEV test people can do with their PEV, Charge people 50 pounds, When they pass the test, Put a certain sign on the PEV showing you is someone who passed a PEV test, Plus less cars on the roads means the police jobs will be easier right, It not like a PEV is going to be a long chase as soon as the helicopter is out, lol, I wonder if PEV's is cause to say the police's job would be harder if people had high powered PEV's when PEV will help reduce road incidents, I feel soz for the police having to deal with the far right political drama as it is, So maybe the Gov would do the police a favor if less people was on the roads getting angry is a car, It is impossible to get angry blowing a PEV around, lol, a PEV can help so much with problems like Anxiety….
But yeah with the prices being so high an the laws around high powered E-bikes still being all over the place, I could not afford to loose any money by loosing the E-bike coz the laws, There is so many people who ends up loosing the high powered E-bikes, Imagine getting in dept, Then having to pay for an E-bike that was taken off you by the law, The best way at the moment is getting a DIY Mid Motor an putting a 36v to 72v controller with a secret way of turning it to 36v 250w, I hear that is a thing now, It has been years an still people feel like they are doing something wrong having an E-bike that got a bit of power, I am no longer willing to wait anymore, So I am doing my CBT or Bike test in the UK, Soon as I am in a position, Prob just after Xmas now, But I am going to get a used decent 125cc, I was told you can legally use a Sur-ron on a CBT license, The prices of the Sur-rons is a massive put off, When you can buy bikes like a Yamaha R3 for a little over 2 grand, Maybe I am a proper moaner, lol, I just feel the Sur-ron type E-bikes are not worth those grands, I always thought as well, If an item is cheaper then more people are able to buy an item, lol….
Don't get me wrong they are cool looking bikes an is probably loads of fun, But over 3 or 4 grands worth of fun, I can't answer that one, lol….
Still though if the E-bike tech gets better then maybe a few more years an prices will actually drop, lol……
