this is a proper basic hack for when you get flatty or you’re changing tires when you don’t have any Tire levers it can sometimes be unbelievably tight to get a tire back over the rim work the tire around with your thumbs keeping the tires wall in the deepest part of the rims well then lever over the tire with both hands with the wheel resting on your thighs like this it’s amazing how much easier this works on some stubborn tires pump it up and get ripping

  1. This just finally clicked for me over the weekend after a friend demonstrated in person. The middle of the rim is deeper than the rest, so it's almost like fitting the tire on a slightly smaller wheel. The critical part is to keep the lips of both sides of the tire at the deepest part of the rim all the way around. My GP5000s went from impossible to mount with 2 levers to easily mountable with 0 levers.

  2. Im not convinced this is practical on tubeless rims with tubeless tyres. Maybe on non tubeless rim wirh non tubeless tyre . But its principle is sound, its really hard on current mtb setup
