  1. I had to look it up because I didnt know what kind of frame connections this are. Apparently it’s steel tubing welded into aluminiu, bonds. Pretty cool. Vitus 787 / 992 / 979 Piste frame or something, from the late 80’s / mid 90’s. Quite cool to be honest to have it in such a good condition. And the gradual color pattern shift to silver is very well thought out.

It looks awesome, the stem and headtube look really unique. I think if the fork was black it would let those matte finish parts really stand out and speak for themselves even more.

I really like the steel tubes in the matte aluminum lugs and the progression to silver from black, with the dual-tone chain. She’s a beauty.

    Nice!

They’re known to fail at the bonds, but hopefully being a (rarer) track bike they beefed up the contact areas.

Its really nice, and that stem also really fits it. All you need is to switch that silly riser to a flat bar to make it look more aggressive and not like circus bike. Or just turn the riser around so it drops slightly.

I ride a vitus as my daily, carbon tubes, steel lugs & rear triangle and aluminium fork. The best of all worlds.
