The knob which catches the steering when folding is made of plastic. No need to buy the metal variant from Asia. You can easily grind the back of the knob down in 2 minutes with a dremel. Also when you remove the 2 spacers it makes a huge difference in the compactness. I forgot to measure the before. I do have the City+ with higher steering which sticks out more. If you have the normal one it will be even compacter. I could to make it more compact if i make the steering farther from me when cycling but I don’t want that. Also some pictures how it fits in the boot of a Model Y. Unfortunately i have to lay it down if i want to use the parcel shelf. Otherwise it could stand up but then i have to tie it up. Have no clue why on earth Brompton made the fold so big when it’s so easy to make it smaller.
