Looking for some Reddit opinions on this issue
2022 Norco Bigfoot 1, 1×12 Shimano XT derailleur, unknown 10-51 cassette, and 30T Praxis chainring and crank. I replaced the previous Shimano CN-M6100 chain with a KMC X12 when a Pedro's chain checker barely registered 0.5% (had to push it a bit). This was at 960 miles.
The issue is that when I am in my biggest cassette cog (51T), the chain gets hung up on the chainring as you can see in the photos. It does not seem to be consistent with any specific link but it seems to happen in the 3 narrow teeth right around where it's snagged in the 1st photo.
What do you think is causing this issue?

That chain ring is completely shark toothed, which means it only matches a stretched chain. You need to replace the chain ring and likely the cassette as well.
Gotta stay on the chain wear more in the future. This is the ping pong of wear on what a long chain can do
It looks pretty worn but the inner links go on the black teeth nonetheless. Please post update if it works if you skip the chain 1 tooth over.
Congrats, its also new chainring and cassette day!
Just buy a new chainring or use the old one until is super worn.
