You know they pull dumb shit on climbs when there’s someone in front doing it under their own power.

  2. Fucking hate the sound of motors…
    It’s simply not riding.

Admit you’ve given up on life and that you’re weak and pathetic.

  3. I love that all this e-power tech exists for whenever I’m too old a frail and can’t do it on my own power anymore.

If e-bikes allow otherwise mismatch fitness level peeps to ride together, I’m all for it! Some romantic relationships rely on it.

  5. E-Bike is in my future. Rented one and it really enables me to get more runs in and more laps without having to be immensely slowed down by my slow climbing and constant stopping for catching my breath. Just overall more efficiency.

I was able to climb teocalli ridge in about an hour and a half. Had I been on an analog, I’d have probably turned around and gone home.

  6. I’ve been in bikes for 40+ years racing or riding with pros. I haven’t dabbled too much into E-bikes but I have tried them out. I’m 51 (started racing when I was 10) and in pretty good shape. I don’t own one yet but ideally I would want to ride analog locally to stay in shape and get the max out of my time. Yes E bikes do give you a workout but not nearly the same level. I jumped on an E bike after taking a year long break while recovering from surgery and I did a 50 mile ride without breaking a sweat in like 4 hours and that’s with taking breaks and goofing off with friends. So yeah, analog to stay in better shape and that pure feeling of riding. E-bike for when I’m out of town doing an epic day of backcountry riding or just don’t have the legs for a longer ride
