Yikes, yeah I’d be worried about those too! Probably best to head to your LBS and discuss some replacements

Don’t ride that

Personally I would say time for a new wheelset

Agreed. Time for new wheels. You don’t know when they will fail.

The first one is bad, I’d be inclined to try for warranty if it’s the original wheel that you purchased.
Second one is just where the cheap rims are manufactured from extruded section, and joined. Cheap rims are only pinned, not welded like more expensive ones

Second is the rim join and it’s completely normal. First one is a huge crack in the rim. Don’t ride that wheel anymore, buy a new one.

They’re done. Stop riding them. The peripheral cracks look to be the two walls separating (rim bed from spoke bed). The second photo appears to be the rim joint, which every metal rim has (welded or pinned); if it’s located 180 degrees from the valve stem hole, that’s what it is, it’s not a cause for concern.

Yes, you’re right to be concerned.

On a scale of 1 – 10 for don’t ride them again they score a solid 15

Seems like a destroyed rim. I find it interesting that the tire says ‘cargo ready’. Can you tell me about the rim and the kinds of weight you placed on this bicycle or ebike? What are typical speeds?

Yes you are right to be concerned. I would be at the LBS getting a new rim/wheel pronto. Unless you want some unplanned dental or orthopedic work.

Depending on details you could ask about warranty replacement but definitely stop riding immediately
