…
The second week of our bike ride.
– Turn on 4K because everything looks better in 4K.
– Netherlands was great for our bike packing/bike touring journey, but plenty more of the European adventure coming up in the next few weeks.
– Forgive us Belgium, we’re sure there is cool parts we just didn’t have time to see.
– Idk how copyright works, I’m sure YT has listed the songs used below.

I understand wanting to wild camp, but cheating a small business owner…not so cool.
Amazing content, very engaging!!!
which camera are you using?
Lmao…. u guys were caught by Staatsbosbeheer (sort of translated; Netherlands Forrest Protection and Upkeeping) and yeah they do have thermals, normally they use it for tracking the wild life at night but also to check on wild campers. It is not uncommon they have it with them during night patrols. It was not regular police and usually when ur not of bad intentions or bad mouthing they are nice and polite, like most of our law enforcement.
Also some police helicopters in that area do infrared scouting patrols during the evenings and nights with regular scheduled flights. To look out for fires starting on the forrests or dune bushes and or things that are out of the normally (lol like wild campers for example).
I surprised myself that I watched this video till the end and enjoyed it. Perhaps it is your candor in everything
hahahahahaahahahahh 6:15 the kis with glistning eyes hahahahahahah, you blokes have a fine humor!
subscribed!! waiting for all the videos!!
Should of called it Numpty Adventures 😂
Funny video. No tips. Just thank you for your eyes on Europe.
That casino part was hilarious 😂
Wow. Obvs the algorithms did their job and suggested you guys. Brilliant stuff lads. Im a grizzled old bike tourer from Englsnd and cycle regularly in NL, Belgium and Germany. I knew the dutchies would find you camping, but good to see they were good to you. Looking forward to episode 3. Oh, and your man's knee probs could be solved by simply adjusting saddle height!!
Dutch lady didn't say jawohl, but jawel! We don't speak German anymore since the occupation😅
Annoying that she could communicate well with you.
Great video you guys made! I also want to go to Rome by bike one day?
Should you ever be back in Belgium or in Europe, I recommend checking out WTMG (Welcome To My Garden). Especially in Belgium, the Netherlands and France there are so many people offering their garden for you to pitch a tent.
this is very quickly becoming my favourite series on youtube. good on you boys!!!
the dutch part of belgiums is basicly a little brother we also have little brother banter over who invented what and such but i see it as 1 big culture it once was the netherlands even also the dutch always joke that you know right away when you cross the belgium border because our perfect roads turn into dirt paths
the way you guys filmed that bridge those seagulls the pretty beach the chill vibe and the big damnlike structure brought me back to my youth going too the beach in the earlty 2000's what a nostalgia im so happy to be born here and often petty that most people will never even know a place like this existed on earth
you guys ate at expensive tourist fastfood spots and also rotterdam is the only car centric big city so you dodged a bullet
HTTYD SOUNDTRACK!! Love the videos, love the journey, love the aussie mentality
For camping… you could just ask a farmer if it's okay to camp somewhere on his land. If you ask nice you probably get lucky. If not the first time then maybe the next. Done that before and in Germany as well.
First two videos gave me goosebumps already.
First was with the energetic start and the second one with the start of "99 Luftballons".
Might need to quit my job to make such a tour 😊
This is really great! It reminds me of old-school youtube! Really enjoying to see you guys having fun, overcoming difficulties and meeting amazing people. And the recreation of film scenes are just great!
Keep it up!
Forest rangers in The Netherlands do indeed use infrared cameras. Firstly, to detect forest fires early during the summer, but also to spot wildlife. And thirdly, to catch poachers. And as an extra catch, to spot wildcampers :). You do not get fined, although they were entitled to… they help you to find a legal campspot, and as a "thank you very much" you use the facilities and leave without paying. Sorry but that is not ok.
Yep your in the no fattys country lol oh the fattys take the train hehe
As a carpenter i worked in all Holland Casinos in my country and i can tell you black jack and roulette are the ony things they lose some money (we could see that on the monitors behind )
I'm loving the banter, the challenge and the characters. Really good cycling content. Keep going.
I love the Netherlands!
You guys are a riot! Loving this adventure with you. Trying to hatch a plan to do it myself now. Yeehaw from the USA!
My experience with wildcamping in germany is that nobody really cares as long as you dont leave traces, also there are free campsites depending on where you are in germany
Bro what a great ending and energy there with 99 Luftballons – I’m absolutely frothing this series. Keep up the good work lads this makes me want to get back on my bike and get out there
The official name of the country is THE Netherlands.
It's great fun to watch your videos! Keep going and enjoy Europe!
Hidden YT gem 💎
These videos are so great to watch. Also very much enjoying the music. I already found your playlist on Spotify. Do you think you will complete it with all the music used in the vlog? That would be great. Cheers.
The Trip to the Casino was brillant. 100% fair Game. 😀
the hate towards my lil country Belgium ;(
26:30 what in the bed?!
Super awesome stuff, those head winds in the low countries can be brutal. Did the Hauge to Middelburg along the Delta works with a head wind the entire day. Was a completely draining experience.
Looking at the map at around 29:00, it seems you had chosen a camping spot in Kroondomein Het Loo, which is an asset of the Dutch crown, the king and his close family basically, yet managed by the state. The Kroondomein is even closed to the public in fall and early winter, as the king exercises his personal hunting right in those woods. The men waking you up in the night don’t introduce themselves as ordinary police would (‘politie’) but as ‘jachtopzichters’, so gamekeepers of the area. While wild camping is prohibited in the Netherlands, that very area is probably more closely guarded than elsewhere.
great video 🙂 Have you guys ever thought about splitting up to get a warmshower host? I could imagine a lot of warmshower hosts have a problem hosting 3 guests because they simply do not have enough space…
I did Calais to Haarlem this summer. fun to see you doing a similar route. Nice video! I felt exactly the same about the Belgian coast lol. Also you mentioned not going near farmers when you want to camp for free, but if you just go up to their house and ask for permission to camp on their land they will often let you. Makes it quite a bit easier to camp for free instead of struggling to find a secluded space. Plus, it's not considered "wild camping" if you do.
brilliant, i enjoyed this so much. you guys are great, thanks for sharing
Riding handless is how I received concussion.
