Hey everyone I thanks in advance for any help here. I bought a 2026 Turbo Levo Gen 4 Comp Carbon and it’s been the noisiest bike I’ve ever owned. I’ve been progressively getting rid of the rattles and creaks since I got it, but not sure what this one is. Sounds like it’s coming from the front shock or lower down near the motor (I know, not the best description). I notice it most when hitting roots, rocks, and jumps/drops.

The shop isn’t sure what it is and can’t replicate it cause all they have is a parking lot and it doesn’t make the noise until out on the trail.

Things I’ve addressed so far:
– wrapped all internal cables in foam anywhere they could contact the frame.
– tied cables together in front of headset to eliminate any slap
– wrapped front brake line in foam to avoid slapping on shock lower
– cleaned and regressed headset bearings to eliminate creak
– I’ve checked all the bolts to make sure everything’s torqued to spec

Thanks for any input in solving the mystery!

What’s this noise?

  1. Hard to tell from all the wind noise, to be honest. A clacky noise from the rear shock could be a blocked oil port, which you can deal with pretty easily by taking it apart, checking the seals and cleaning everything up. If you don’t, it might escalate and seize up the shock (still recoverable, but not rideable). I guess some forks could have a similar issue too, but I’ve not worked on a fox36 so who knows. All of course assuming that it’s not mechanical noise from somewhere else.

Here are a few weird ones to try: With the new Gen 4’s, they have a storage compartment if you remove the battery. there should be a little tab and you can pull a little bag out, maybe that is causing some noise.

Another guess would be it may be the wires from the TCU screen rattling against the inside of the frame. If you slide it down a tad you can unhook the computer from the frame and see if the wires can be routed better
