Hi folks,

Sooo, I know how to wrench, I know these claw mounts are lame and low end, so that's fine, this frame is cool and it's getting built up one way or another

This is my first decent build with one of these things, what's vexing me right now is this derailleur is a lot further away from the freewheel than I was hoping, and in the pic it's is as far forward on the B stop as it will go; I'm not impressed with the amount of wrap I'm going to have and I'm wondering if this will be just fine or if I end up jettisoning this whole drivetrain

I'm just wondering if anyone else messes with dialing in upgraded setups with these; the freewheel is a 7-speed 13-24, the old 5-speeds typically are bigger with a 28 or 30 big cog, I feel like a different more snug claw design might be the only thing to solve this

I think it will be just fine once you put a chain on it. Good derailleur you have there.

Visually, I think the claw is the issue. Maybe it’s that I’m looking at it first thing in the morning, but the one on there seems to made more distance from axle to derailleur mount.

Distance is always deceiving with these. Have you tried with a chain on yet ? Don’t see from OP. Check alignment from middle cog.
