    A fully snapped chain is not super dangerous, so you can chance riding like that if you need to. You just might get stranded somewhere. I’d replace the whole chain asap though.

    Midrange KMC and SRAM chains are readily available for under $30. Just match the chain to the number of gears in your cassette. You’ll probably also need a chain breaker tool, since chains tend to be long to accommodate different drive trains. Lay them side by side, match the length to your old chain, and pop out the rivet holding the excess on.
