Running 25mm 700c Giant tyres that came with the bike. I want to upgrade for comfort and performance reasons. Will 28 or 30mm tyres fit? Thinking of trying tyres from one of the big brand, Pirelli, continental etc.

28 for sure 30 is always a maybe with rim brakes.
Order tires from a place with a good return policy like Amazon, and give it a shot.
