  1. i got an old novara bonanza hard tail for 40 bucks at a yard sale and its made me start riding every day again. idk what it is about it but i love it. i still want a full sus for hard trails but my hard tail is definitely an amazing daily rider. i ride it to the store, i ride it on the sidewalks and roads, i ride it off road and on the biking trais here at my place. i take it everywhere

  2. I tried to buy a full sus MTB in the local shop – they looked me up and down and tried to sell me a (cheaper) road bike with a wide, sprung 'comfy' seat instead.

In the end I went elsewhere, split the difference and got a hardtail. To this day I have no idea why I was not worthy of full squishiness in the mountains and relegated to roads only :-/

  3. I jus mostly ride on the streets , and i hate how much power i lose on a full suspension, but i still love trails , road bike wasnt rlly my riding style , so i went w a hardtail, full suspension is def better for anything technical though

  4. I've literally never said any of these things. Personally, I like hard tails because they're less expensive and easier to maintain. Plus they're just fun to ride.

  5. i am poor too. bought 2 bikes for my kids and got me 10€ bmx for myself. its a great equalizer and climbs are a big nono. but the sketchy stiff unbraked bmx is actualy massive fun if you are willing to send it and eat the ocasional shit now and then (your knees and wrists do take a beating tough). shoutout to sam pilgrim!!! to show us you can have fun on any bike.

  6. Full suspension + Rider weight weighs 2% more than hardtail + Rider weight, so full suspension is 2% more inefficient compared with hardtails. Full suspension only makes sense on super rocky terrain.

  7. Im definitely getting a hardtail again once I got a house. Im at an apartment so I can only have 2 bikes right now with my space so I have a commuter bike and an enduro
