Well… it's been amazing. I've thrown on some stealth decals for steez, swapped the 60 mm stem for a 40 mm, and honestly it rides better in every way. Climbs feel snappier, descents more controlled, and overall handling is just more confident.
The IIIPro E4 brakes I won in a giveaway are holding up beautifully too, no complaints there.
Next upgrades on my list:
Sell my GX derailleur + NX shifter and swap them both for Shimano Deore
Sell my Crankbrothers Highline 150mm dropper and upgrade to a 200mm dropper I have had my eyes on.
At €1200 total for the build, I'm extremely satisfied. Every aspect of the Bardino is a massive step up from my old Orbea Laufey H30 (2022): longer, slacker, more capable it really feels like a hardtail beast.
I'd love to hear your thoughts! Any questions, feedback, or just bike chat, I'm all ears.
