Apologies as this has probably been asked a million times already…
I thinking of going tubeless on my son's Trek Remedy. He likes jumps and so on so have lost several tubes to pinch flats. The rims are Bontrager Line Comp 30, and the rim tape, as seen in the pictures, looks much like the TLR / tubeless strips Bontrager sell. So can anyone confirm if these are ready to go tubeless with some new valves and sealant?
We got the bike second hand so don't know the history.
Judging by the fact the existing tyres are a pain to both take off and seat after I'm leaning towards them being tubeless.
Thanks.

Normally it’s their tubeless “tape” . I had bad experience with sealing on those when I built up trek bikes at the workshop so i always used a new tape instead.
They are the tubeless rimstrips indeed, it’s good to go. However if you take them off and use normal rimtape you’ll struggle less putting the tires on as those strips cover the channel (and saves quite a bit of weight).
I’ve had them on my rail for about 5 years now, never had any issues with sealing or leaking 🤷🏼♂️
Those are ready to go tubeless.
If you struggle to get the new tires on you can always replace it with regular rim tape if you want.
