The driver's union would pay any fines under Unite's Driver Care scheme (assuming he's in the union, of course). Not sure about any points though. That said did the officer show his badge and did he go about the arrest in the correct manner? Not condoning the actions of the driver though, he should have just sat back and waited and just sllowed thd police to get on with it.

i was a bus driver for a good few years in west yorkshire ..and yes you need licence and CPC card on you .. we were told if the road is blocked by police/emergency services for any reason then you just radio control and wait for either the police or other emergency services to move or move you .. not sure what their rules are but if it was first bus's the driver would be in the poop.
also yeah no tacho and your on UK driving time rules not EU ones like HGV.

The cop’s behavior is the easy target here but the bus driver loosing his composure and honking like crazy is totally unprofessionnal. This is passive agressive right there. You can tell he’s a road vigilante kind of bus driver that’s done this before and that’s just not acceptable when you have ppl onboard. Whether he’s right or wrong doesn’t even matter at this point. There is no point in annoying everyone like that. He could have honked like normal ppl would have and gotten his point across.
