I take a tour around London at dawn and get a look into the history of the city.
You only get absolute weirdos hanging out at this time in the morning. So, the best thing about being 49 years old and living in London is that I tend to wake up really, really early. So, it’s 4:35 in the morning. Look how light it is. So, I’m going to go out line biking. So, I’m starting my journey out in Hackne, which is kind of northeast of London. And I’m making my way down the southwest going towards the city and the river. So this is Victoria Park Village. It’s kind of like the new East End version of Notting Hill. Got well posh about 10 years ago. See, the amazing thing about this time in the morning is you just don’t see anyone. It’s like we’re in lockdown again. We’re going to try Brick Lane right now. on Brick Lane, famous for curry houses. I think this is probably where we’re most likely to see people who were still on last night. Like that lot, they’re definitely on last night. They’ve not gone to bed. The thing about being 4:37 in the morning is look how illegal we can be. Wrong way down the road. No one cares. Wow. It’s just ghost towns around here. I’m right in the city. And the thing I love about this area is it is so steeped in history. This part of London is the very first bit of London. It was Londinium. It was founded by the Romans 2,000 years ago. There was a point where they built this massive wall, which is the wall of London. And that’s why we’ve got all these things like Mo Gate, Old Gate, cuz they were the gates in the wall of London. And what we’ve got here is monument. It was built after the great fire of London. If you were to lay it down, the very point of it would end up on Pudding Lane. There used to be a bakery and that’s where the great fire was started. They must have set fire to their bread. Started the great fire of London. But enough of that. Let’s get over the river. Just something so special about going over the river when you’re in London. What a bloody treat. Cool as heck. Look at it.

Calm before the storm for sure
Love this. I felt like I was watching myself, in a way. Used to do similar rides, but very late at night instead. And without filming it 🙂
