My wife recently did her first tri and borrowed a bike from a neighbor for it but she wants one of her own moving forward. We found this Specialized 2015 Ruby Elite that appears to be in great condition with very little use. We just don't know if it's worth the $1100 asking price based on its age. Can anyone help?

That sounds like a lot for a 2015 IMO. Idk the bike, but you can get a brand new Allez (with the lower end modern groupset)for around that price.
Disc brakes and wider tire clearances are nice on modern bikes. The technology has improved pretty significantly from 2015 to now.
I looked into it and they go anywhere betwen 450 and 900€,maybe you could look at a new allez for around 1500€
Here are some additional details if it helps,
This one was my wife’s bike — she only used it for one race and that’s about it. It’s in excellent condition and you can tell just by looking at it; it’s pretty much like new.
54 cm carbon frame, super light, comfortable, and smooth to ride. Always stored indoors, never crashed, and barely any miles on it. Perfect for someone around 5’5″–5’9″ looking for a quality road bike that doesn’t need a thing done to it.
bikes too old to be worth that much
