When to Plant: Plant your garlic at any point over the course of October-November. Earlier for cooler zones, later for warmer zones.
Spot in Garden: Garlic thrives in a high-sun environment, and can be companion planted with Tomatoes and Basil.
Soil Prep: Garlic loves a loose and fertile environment. If planting into an existing bed, chop and drop spent plants on top of the bed to rejuvenate the soil. Remove any diseased plants.
Spacing: Plant 6 in apart and about 1-3” deep (meaning that the pointy tip of the cloves is 1-3” below the topsoil level. If you have loose soil you can plant them 3” deep. If you have hard soil, plant them about 1” deep
Feed & Water: Apply 1-2” layer of compost and give it a good watering once only until Spring
Mulch: Lastly, put down 4-6” of brown leaves. This will provide more insulation and allow the microbes to keep working in the soil.
Spring: This process will help the garlic establish roots before winter. Come Spring, once they begin to poke through the surface, you can water again and then add 1-2” of Compost for a strong growth
Yes it's ♥️ over all to quickly summer ☀️ what to grow into autumn and winter we have had a really dry 😴 summer ☀️ this year you do a good job on your garden 😀 d❤❤❤
What was he chopping in the beginning of the video? Shouldn’t the roots be taken out as well? He’s so sweet with the plant. He seems to have a nice connection to them
So many useful elements here. I love the planting board and the netting that is interchangeable between beds. Thinking that moving to raised beds will eventually be in order for the sake of my knees and these look fantastic.
Thank you. Southern hemisphere in South Africa with a Mediterranean climate in Autumn would probably be in April. This video has all the right steps without the clutter of unnecessary words 👍🌱🧄

Good
I'm very inspired
What’s that tool you used to put holes in the bed
What about using treated board? I’m sure that’s a no no right?

Rapid City South Dakota needs for lower income class
You prep like a pro, that was super clean 👌 best of luck with your harvest!
Bel lavoro. A che distanza metti l'aglio.come hai costruito l'attrezzo? Saluti da Bacoli
To match my brother garlic is too easy 😄
“But what will become of us?” 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
I see lots of controversy on the depth in which to plant the bulbs. Are your pegs 6"?
Thanks for the simple yet informative video!
That hole diggin board is genius
Wow that is going to taste delicious 🤤
Thank you😊
What are the dimensions of that board please ?
That screen idea is so much better than garden netting. I cant wait to make one now.
