If you know the motion, a little jiggle is all you need to get over small obstacles.

I recently got back into riding when I had next to no muscle mass, and I’ve lost a good 20lbs, (I am on the more naturally athletic and thin side, so grain of salt here)

My main focus, as an older guy has been not eating unnecessary shit, and I did that, by staying right inside my comfort zone and just repeating one thing over and over, working out those muscle groups and getting in the cardio. The biggest difference maker for me, where I saw immediate improvement was after the day I focused on just flowing around the park, and leaning forward into this, and backwards into that, pumping the bike up the ramps rather than just letting momentum take me, getting a real feel of how I’m supposed to be moving, and not worrying about doing something cool. Then I started doing 5 mile rides, and riding 4-6 hours a day, and now I’m eating as much protein as I can until I feel it in my chest, and chasing that with a protein shake, so your mileage may vary.
