I'm still looking for a new bike after two months of searching. Now I found this one, it's like 1.5 hours by train ( luckely free for studenten to get there ). U guys think it will be worth it. I've learned alot about groupsets, wheels, brakes etcetera just by eying this sub.
I'm on a tight budget and am a fairly small person. My friends specialized roubaix size 52 fits me very well tho. Have tried a few bike and it just wasn't it it felt like.
I came across this one one hour ago. I live in the netherlands and most dutch people are tall as fuck. It's a pain to find abbike especially a racing bike for midsmall folks like me. Im looking for something to use everyday but also something fast when I wanna hit the pedal hard. We have smooth good bikini langs for kilometers at an end.
My questions,
What things should I be out on the look for when testing this thing. Is it a too old model btw? The guy seems to have replaceced some stuff tho. If it costed me 200 than atleast 100 euro's will stay in the pocket. Are there any 'upgrades' you guys suggest I can or should spend on this bike for 100 bucks or less?

I also just noticed the rear rim is a bit different than the front one? Will that matter when riding?
So you really want a flat bar, not a drop bar bike? It’s possible that conversions mess with the position on the bike, I’d be extra cautious to see if you’re comfortable on it, and a test ride might not be enough for that…
I did a flat bar conversion with an old Trek 2000 and Love Love Love. That bike DIPS!!
105 derailleur, Tiagra crankset, Altus (?) shifters, mismatched wheel set… “Selling due to surplus stock”… more like “put together from surplus stock” or more likely “put together from stolen parts”
