as part of my New Year’s resolution I joined a gym and I decided to join David Lloyd gym and uh what I’m going to show you now is some of the stuff that actually drives me nuts and it’s actually something that David Lloyd can do nothing about so come with me as I take you uh to David Lloyd gym in woken so first thing I got to drive to uh the gym so let’s go so number one is trying to find a parking spot uh apparently this time of year uh there is obviously everybody going through doing their New Year’s resolutions and um it’s really difficult to find a parking space um that hopefully will change now what I was trying to find was this classic example of just somebody being selfish um we complained yeah they’re not there now but uh have a look at this footage which I’ll put up for you which will show you uh them being like so one of the things that drives me nuts about David Lloyd is actually the car park now we’re at uh currently the is it the 13th of December uh and what we’re seeing is obviously people are in there New Year’s resolution phase now hopefully within the next couple of weeks it should thin out and we should see uh less uh trouble with the parking I’ll give you another update on that in the future so if you haven’t guessed it the number one thing that David Lloyd has a problem with that David Lloyd has not the ability to try and fix is its customers there are some customers that are selfish there are some customers that are darn right disgusting and uh yeah hopefully you have seen that here as you can see the car park is chocker [Music] go

Strange no one has commented on it or never came across to you video but yes parking can be a nightmare especially if you have kids with you. I’ve seen David loyds own staff parking in parent and child spots I’ve complained aboriginal it several times and they’ll simply lie or make an a stupid excuse such as “oh he’s new staff” I mean staff is new but parking rules and regulations aren’t. Family showers are digesting they need constant cleaning due to its usage. The amount of money they charge they should pay attention to every detail. Where’s this gym btw in the video location?
Depends where it is I guess. The one I go to has plenty of parking (although I'm also walking distance), and the cleaners are normally around. Often 2 or 3 actively clearing up. Also, the one I go to is in an area full of lots of schools and big houses = families, . So less problematic customers I think. And it's being renovated right now, so that's nice. I haven't been much the last few months but that's my fault but I'll go to Blaze (HIIT) in the morning and got yoga booked… I'll hit the gym tonight… maybe a swim. On the sunny days the outdoor pool area is like being on holiday for an hour, so… I think if you use it to it's potential then it's good value for money. But you need to go to classes regularly to justify the cost. Because the actual gym element is average.
So the cost of like £100 a month don’t brother you? Lol
🫰 the extremely high expensive contract no way would I pay £100 a month for a gym 😆
WARNING: David Lloyd’s Overcrowding & Unlawful Parking Fines – A Trap for MembersIf you’re thinking of joining David Lloyd, please read this first. What looks like a premium leisure club hides a pattern of unethical marketing and abusive practices that you need to know about.
Overcrowding & Health Hazards
David Lloyd has enrolled far more members than its facilities can safely accommodate. At the Sudbury club, swimmers literally collide with each other in packed pools. Parents queue 40 minutes or more for family changing rooms and toilets. This is not the luxury, health focused environment you’re promised at sign up — it’s chaos.
Clandestine Parking Fine Scheme
To make matters worse, David Lloyd has quietly introduced a 240 minute time limit on site — something never disclosed in the membership contract. Members who unknowingly exceed this limit are being hit with parking fines of £170+, sent to debt collectors, and even credit ratings damaged.
Despite registering our car multiple times and formally writing to the CEO, the harassment continued. No apology. No cancellation of unlawful charges. Just silence while members are left to fight third party parking agents — agents who have no way to verify membership without David Lloyd’s input.
A Calculated Push to Drive Members Out
This feels like a deliberate strategy: oversubscribe the club to maximise revenue, create unbearable overcrowding, then use fines and harassment to push existing members out — turning loyal families into collateral damage.
Bottom Line
This is not a premium gym. It’s a trap. You risk overcrowded, unsafe facilities and a covert penalty system that can cost you hundreds of pounds and damage your credit.
I strongly warn prospective members to think twice before joining. What you see in marketing is not what you get in reality.
The last five mins has gone weird 😂 after sitting there no context shirtless for the whole pod 😂😂😂
