According to Trek’s website, the ALR4 came with GRX and hydraulic brakes (in 2021, at least).
By comparison, the cheapest ALR now is $1,600 (in the US). This cheapest one today has mechanical disk brakes and a CUES groupset (both are significantly lower spec).
I’d consider the one you posted and see what similar bikes are selling for in your area.

It’s not a rip off. It’s a little on the high side. Is it a 2021? Looks like it was $1700 new, so offer $700 if you like it? It’s a very solid entry level gravel bike.
