Would it be alright to leave it like this and if it gets wet? It might get water inside where the hoses passes through so~
I removed the cover because it was fighting with the handlebars since the hose inside was too cramped.
When I went downhill, my handlebar got misaligned because of the rumble strips. So now I tightened the bolts, and it’s fine already.
But the problem is that the bolts are pushing the hose against the cover, so everything’s cramped inside and the handlebar either resists when I turn or too stiff to do so.
The frame is really meant for Di2, but we just forced a mechanical 105 setup 😅
Thanks!

Is there a way for water to escape from inside the enclosure? If so, I don’t really see a problem.
Don’t really see a problem here besides the ridiculously tight housing radiuses. That might lead to friction issues after a while.
What are you concerned is going to happen? Of course it’s fine as is
No, it’ll dissolve all the hoses and cable housings!!!
Nah, even if water gets inside there, it’s not going to be any different than water going through all the other components and spaces whenever it’s raining, so yeah don’t even worry about it, it just looks ugly.
Personally I’d buy some thick black tape, stretch water proof electrical stuff and tape up my face so nobody saw me riding that abomination.
What is that paintjob!!! 😲
105 mech in a Di2 only headset. 🤔 Good luck with your shifts & braking, haha.
Seriously though, I’d be concerned with water, and especially sweat, getting into places you don’t want it.
That stem clamp looks massively overtorqued.
Id have left more wire there. Its too tight and youre going to be pulling wires when you turn the bars. Leave a little more slack there. Also where it passes the edges of tbe metal, I’d put a couple loops of black tape to protect the wires from chafing the edge of the metals. They *will* cut through over time, and if those are related to high watt or high amp electrical for an e bike, I wouldn’t want to be holding the frame of the bike when it cuts through.
Otherwise its all fine and dandy
