I almost bought a Bell Full 9 but I live in Tropical country so I need good ventilation the Full 10 was awesome but the budget is little tight right now I’ll get Composite models for both helmet or stretch the budget maybe and get a carbon
(Would I want to look like Brandon Semenuk or Emil Johansson)

The D4 is a great helmet and TLD is well known for their safety. BUTTT it’s hot af. I use it as my only helmet and it’s fine. But ya it’s hot af. I would still recommend it if you can get used to sweating or put it on your bars for the climbs.
Idk anything about the sweet protection one
Whatever fits. You really need to try them on.
I grew up down the street from TLD HQ so that always gets my vote
Checkout the Bell Sanction 2 DLX, some great designs, downhill certified, MIPS, lots of ventilation for hot climates and a low price.
Sweet Protection, mainly because I won a ski helmet and jacket from them a few years ago. I swear I wear that jacket more than any other one I own, they make good stuff!
Did you check out the Virginia Tech helmet crash ratings?
TLD has great customer service. I’ve also crashed in their helmets and they’ve done a great job protecting me. Very safe. I use it for DH so getting hot on climbs isn’t an issue for me.
The TLD helmets I handled in the last years had some major flaws. Gaps, panting, etc. really poor construction. Unacceptable for the asking price.
Apart from that, a helmet must fit. So try on as much as possible.
If down to looks, anything other than the gawdy TLD logos.
Tld all day how is this even a debate
Love my D4. My climbs are usually on fire roads so I just hang it on the bars
