I'm not interested in a lecture for those that think I should have stopped and let the truck pass completely. If I was clairvoyant and knew he was going to try and take the bike lane I wouldn't have put myself in that position. I anticipated them signaling early and waiting considering it was a DRIVING SCHOOL and surely they wouldn't teach them to use bike lanes. —- Camera is an Insta360 x5

No lectures here bud. That’s a hell of a commute, good on you for standing up for yourself.
Bike lanes are vehicle lanes, and bikes are the only vehicles allowed in them except in specific situations. Stopping in them is stopping in traffic, and while using them to make turns, one must yield to the traffic already there. In other words, where are the cops when you need em.
The only time cars or other big motor vehicles should go into those is when turning, or when pulling over to let emergency vehicles pass
I mean the truck driver indicated wellllll ahead of time and was waiting for you to pass before entering the bike lane…
This would be a very tricky turn to navigate for an 18 wheeler. I think he approached it fairly well. Indicated. Demonstrated is intent by slowly veering towards the lane. But he stopped and waited for the lane to be clear.
I can understand you felt intimated, but I think the truck driver didn’t do anything wrong here and was aware of you.

This is how my little brothers friend died at 13 years old- big trucks like that should be restricted to the highway. Plus they fuck up the roads
Good on you for yelling. Humans can be pretty darn loud, and that guy def heard you inside his truck. Not enough people HOLLER in situations like these, imo.
Trucks fault but never, ever ride alongside an 18 wheeler and never pass one, even if you’re in the right. It’s the same on the highway with a car. Not only are you potentially iin their blind spot, the trucking industry isnt hiring the best these days. The US just revoked like 7,600 licenses of people who can t speak, read or write english.
