Specialized Roubaix from 2005 I think? Got it for free
Aside from getting it off the wheel trainer (plan to get wahoo core 2).
What wheels/tired might you recommend?
Would spend a couple hundo on upgrades.
Need pedals but could not get these flats off of their. Will see if LBS can
Thanks!

best thing you can do is get a bike fit. better kinetic chain will be better than nice wheels. the most important component of bike riding is you
Nice tires, clipless pedals and a good think about bike fit; right now it looks like it needs to come down and back at the front given you’ve got a long boi stem on but it’s flipped and there’s zero saddle to bar drop. Best guess I would say put a shorter stem on and don’t flip it up like this one is.
Take all the stuff off the handlebars (put your phone in your jersey pocket)
Better wheels can be found on Craigslist and FB marketplace for under $200 used these days. Combined with some nicer tires, this bike will liven up substantially.
Beyond that, just ride it. It’s honestly not really worth pouring $500-$1000 into to upgrading the groupset or whatnot.
Putting miles on this bike will tell you if the sport is for you. If so, this bike will teach you what you want in your next bike and you’ll be an educated consumer when shopping next Xmas.
Dura Ace Di2 + Bora Ultra WTO 45s and you’re good to go
I’ve had a couple of Roubaix’s similar to this one over the past decade, and I now ride a newer model Roubaix.
They’re great bikes.
If you find the saddle on it isn’t right for you, then I’d consider replacing it before anything else.
A lot of people suggest getting your sit bones measured/measuring them yourself and then buying an appropriately sized seat. I tried this and found it not to work for me. Not at all in fact.
I now have a couple of these (one large and one medium on both of my Roubaix’s, one that’s very similar to yours is on my trainer). Neither are close to my sit bones measurement. Both are much larger. Excellent comfort for me, and that’s whilst owning various supposedly correctly sized saddles that would be worth hundreds all together.

Maybe leave the old tyres on it if you’re going to use it on your trainer over winter and then think about getting some new ones in the summer. That or buy a trainer specific rear tyre, which I have but don’t use as I like my trainer Roubaix to be a quick replacement spare for the road if I need it.
Ride the equipment til it starts to fail
. Its a great bike stock.
