I'm looking at replacing my brake pads on my bike, which is currently using a slightly older model of the Swissstop Flash Pro brake pads and cartridge holders. Bike is fitted with Ultegra BR-8000 and Carbon rims.
What i'm curious about is whether I can replace the pads and keep the same cartridge holders. It looks like Swissstop has updated the pad inserts (Yellow King), which makes me wonder if theire still compatible. Another option would be using a more generic Shimano brand (R55C4-carbon) but do these fit with my current cartridge holder?

looks like a standard sram/Shimano pad to me
It’ll fit. The added notch is for direct mount brakes where the retaining screw is at the front of the brake
To be pedantic, the indents aren’t *different*, there’s an *additional* indent on the new pad design, for DM brakes as /u/davisisalreadytaken mentions. I think reframing the situation in this way makes the answer more obvious.
I don’t mean to insult by pointing out the obvious, but the SwissStop stock photo is oriented 180° from your photo, and so has this lead to confusion about the position of the indent that you need?
