๐ก About Le Somail & the Canal du Midi
Le Somail is one of the most picturesque stops along the Canal du Midi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the 17th century to link the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. This charming hamlet is known for its stone bridge, historic inns, antique bookshops, and vibrant summer evenings where visitors enjoy the unique atmosphere by the water.
The surrounding Minervois region is famous for its vineyards, producing some of the best wines of the Languedoc. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings, boat trips along the canal, cycling between villages, and exploring the cultural treasures of the Aude, from medieval Carcassonne to the Mediterranean coast.

And I found Lassomi. And I tell you, the main reason why I like Losi is because it’s a it’s a hamlet, little tiny village, but it always seems to have people walking around in it. It’s right on the canal Dumidi. It’s got a fantastic bookshop. It’s got a penish that has has a pisery on it. And it’s just full of restaurants and just nice things, nice artisan shops and art and all the rest of it. and just a really nice place and it has the kind of tourism that I like um which suits me anyway and uh so it’s not too loud, it’s kind of classy and and lively.
