these are the top five most reliable cars available in the UK right now and one of the cars or at least the brand of car is represented behind me just here it’s not the car that’s at number five the car that’s at number five I don’t have here that’s the Kia Picanto which also featured in third place on my list of the best first cars you can buy mainly because of its reliability uh the car in fourth is as a self-confessed Audi Fanboy I’m really pleased to say that at number four in the list is the Audi Q2 uh I’m just pleased to see at least one Audi in this top five um at number three now if you saw my video about the most reliable brands in the UK then this should come as no surprise to you uh at third place we have the 2017 to 2024 mini Countryman which is a decent car um I was still a little surprised that it’s at number three but as I said for mini to be the most reliable brand of the last 12 months you’d expect at least one of their cars to be in the top five it is the mini Countryman and number two we’ve got the Toyota IO is the car that we’ve got at number two um a long way from being a surprise obviously Toyota are renowned for their reliability clearly there was always going to be a Toyota in the top five this probably could have been most of the range here but as it happens it’s the iGo and a number one Lexus is the car that’s at number one on the list represented by this Lexus behind me here although this is the Lexus ux 300E which is an electric car the actual Lexus IS at number one is the Lexus NX to be honest with you you can’t go wrong with any Lexus uh the same as Toyota you know they’re always going to appear high up on any of these lists let me know if there’s any of the cars on the list that you disagree with uh any that you’d put in instead uh any that you just wouldn’t put in full stop I can’t imagine anyone can argue with Lexus being at number one to be honest maybe you might put toota there but you know it’s much of a much list let’s face it

  1. I genuinely don’t understand how the Mini gets included in the same sentence as reliable. Not had one myself but I know of 5 locally, friends and family – all being correctly serviced, by BMW/Mini – and 4 have been persistently problematic from new, one less so.
That one’s just been plagued with build quality issues, fairly frequently.
The other 4 have been utterly woeful.
They have however been good in one respect, very good in fact.
They’ve made their owners decide to never go near a Mini again. They all wanted to love the cars but they can’t.
