So I used to ride a lot in high school and I’m getting back into it now in my early 20’s but I don’t remember ANYTHING about anything so pardon my cluelessness. Got this bike on fb marketplace and I noticed the headset is above the stem? Can I just take it apart and put it underneath the stem to get some extra height and to make it look less ugly in my opinion lol or is my bike gonna fall apart? Let me know! Thank you 🙂

That looks like a headset cap and spacer incorrectly installed above the stem. The cap is supposed to sit under the stem to protect the bearings. So yes please take it apart and put it under the stem
Also am I bugging or is that peg insanely long? What is going on with this bike
