I suppose Bike Radar should’ve more accurately said, ‘Campy launches 1×13 **electronic** groupset.’ I saw the headline and thought, wait, is it 2020 again? š
I think for Campy to gain any traction (in the US anyway) they’d need to get some gravel pros riding it. It’ll be interesting to see whether they sponsor any racers next year, since I don’t know that Campy’s done much working with privateers (as opposed to big teams).

I really wanted to love ekar, but it was such a maintenance headache that Iād I have trouble justifying $4,000 for the electronic set. Especially when sram red xplr is a full grand less.
Hopefully Super Record X knocks it out of the park for them though, looks gorgeous.

Hard pass. Campy for maybe road. But anything that’s getting hit with dirt/grit isn’t something they handle well.

The bora x wheels look good

Campy… $6300 USD for their groupset with a powermeter. Red XPLR with powermeter is $2000 less retail, and far cheaper on a new build from a LBS or direct to consumer. Campy is madness.

For the road parts, the people on the “inside” have hinted that there will be two lower tiers for the 13-speed platform. So we will be getting the more affordable Record and Chorus groupsets back.
It took them too many years to get here, but the 13-speed Super Record does look good. It finally feels like a finished product. I’m really liking the look of both the derailer and the crankset on this gravel version.
