No, seriously. I tried to give him money and he declined. "I got my money's worth out of it."

For those not following along, past documentation HERE and HERE.

He recently retired and bought a brand new Felt gravel bike and finally accepted my pleas.

SO looking forward to restoring this piece of history to it's true glory! It's an 18" and I normally ride a 20", but he's taller than me (and provided me with plenty of seatpost!) plus the TT is 21", so a short stem and drops as xGod intended and it should work out just fine.

I know the rockhopper, the hard rock, even rebuilt a sport rock once , but what on earth is a rock combo ? sounds like a dish from a flintstones themed burger place 😮

honestly, it’s a beautiful bike in a lovely colour scheme

People in my area are hip to how sought after these frames are and really make sure that anything under $250 is a direct correlation of not realizing that it’s a specialized and people like them.

At first I thought this color scheme was butt ugly but they have grown on me. What have I become?

  4. I completely forgot about that bike. I had one and used it as a messenger bike in Houston in the late ’80’s and early 90’s. It originally had drop style bars but I put straight bars for some reason. It was beat to shit and I trashed it before a move. Ok, so maybe this is my second bike I wish I still had.

Great bike to be given. Heck it would still be a great find if you had to pay for it. And, that is quite a stem. 140mm???
