Yup, a byproduct of the active/outdoor lifestyle is becoming a laundry nerd. Dryers are for towels only, laundry bags are your friend, and woolite is worth the money. Blocking and flat drying are the norm. Blah blah it’s a full time job.

So…I take a shower with me riding clothes on. Strip in the shower and wash them with soap then hang them outside to dry. I do put them through the wash too, but not every time.
Am I a weirdo?

I thought that is just life. Though I’ll note, now that I’m riding my ebike most of the time, it’s more speed for less effort, so I am less sweaty not just in hot season but also I can wear warmer layers and rain gear without getting as easily overheated. Luxury.

I have two buckets. One dirty and one clean. It just takes too much time to fold and hang so much laundry.

This is why I got an ebike tbh. Don’t sweat nearly as much when info places.

Socks get used twice. Once during the morning commute and a second time the next day during work. I wear the same Tshirt while at work all week and only change my riding workout shirt once a day. I wear the same shorts during work that I ride in and just change underwear instead. I’ve got this down to a lower quantity as possible without arousing others interest with my smell.

My manager talks to me about how I should be doing it more often. Crazy how much laundry there is if you only wear things once.

I’ve got a few jackets with a permanent “sweaty/camping” smell.

I have a kit I wear for the commute and clothes in the office, I bring them once a week. Works pretty good. And since I have my own office, nobody‘s bothered by the smell or open windows. Win-win.
