The issue I have is that my chain is rubbing against a bit of my derailleur. It is even edging into it. How/why does this happen? And how can I fix it?

Did you recently re-run the chain? I think it belongs on the other side of that tab.

look up a parktool video, you ran the chain wrong…. it’s not hard to google…

When you’re rerouting your chain on the correct side of that tab, please clean it, the derailleur cage, and pulleys.
