So quick reminder : I am no English speaker and know barely nothing about BMX or bikes in general.
But after like 25 hours of work, I managed to restore this bike. It seems to be a 1984 GT Pro with a lot of interesting parts : Kashimax saddle, Hutch pedals… No idea for the fork though… A GT like the frame ?
There was a LOT of rust (see the two last pics) and it took me a lot of time and steel wool to get rid of it. Almost all the parts are original except for the headset that broke, the brake cable… I also pushed the envelope and restored most bearings (pedals, direction, crankset, just not the wheels)
And still got a little work, change the tyres, the handles, maybe the freewheel too ( not sure about theses parts name). What would you recommend ?
I am kind of proud of myself, because I think I did great for someone who knew nothing, and this bike has quite a sentimental value (cf my previous post).
What do you think ? Any tips ?
