Got excited at a good deal and bought an older mtb for a fixie build. My wheels are 120mm so I'm thinking of throwing some spacers on each side to minimize throwing off the chain line up. I'll also be getting a longer quick release. Is this safe and what's the general consensus in the community about it.

It’ll work, but why not build a stronger wheel with a Surly 135mm OLN hub
QR does not work for fixed.
Rear wheel should be with hub that secured with nuts or bolts.
Your chainline will be way off is all
Are you replacing the axle in the hub?
Also a track hub will give you track chainline ~42 mm. Single speed MTB chainline is 47.5 mm.

Why not just take it to a reputable shop and have them cold set it to 120mm?

Damn, I’ve been looking for this frame. I saw one on marketplace for 150 and regret it. I wanted it for a fgfs bike lol
