I recently upgraded to a to a new 165mm crank with a 44t chainring. The difference has been quite significant.
The shorter crank arms let my sit much more comfortable and and the power numbers are noticeably higher on longer efforts. Maybe because I can keep a better position on the bike for longer.
I can’t recommend trying it enough.
The 44t ring is a much better fit for the 10-46 in the back. I’m spending more time in the middle gears, which is much more efficient. Next upgrade might be a aero chainring for the new cranks.

I have 155 on my gravel bike, 160 on my road bike. On my Lauf, I went to 44t too from 40t (I run a Red/Force mix). I agree, it is an incredible setup.
How’s your flexibility? Curious as to why you find it more comfy compared to longer cranks.
How are steep hills? I probably use my lowest gear at least once on every ride. I’m on 10-44 cassette and 40 tooth chainring right now.

Bro what is that saddle angle?
I run 175mm with a 40t x 10-52. It’s not unusual for me to climb 5k ft climbs during my rides – I don’t live in the “plains”. Maybe I’m old school but I’ve been riding MTB and “gravelish” bikes since the 80’s/ 90’s – I even ran 180mm MTB cranks for a while but it eventually hurt my knees. Everyone is different, so it’s great to see the wide variety of builds out there.
Dang bro
