I can choose a new (e-)bike and as I use it for commuting throughout the year, light is important. A default headlight is 70 lux, I’m tempted to choose the 150 lux (Riese & Müller) option. It’s however difficult to visualise (imagine) the light gain in daily life.
I currently have a non electric bike with a hub generator and led light, imagine even the default light will already be an improvement.
Anybody experience with this issue?

Just the lux amount doesn’t mean much, the reflector and lens in the lamp deciding how the beam is formed and where how much light is going is way more important. Ideally you want to know exactly what kind of light those bikes have and then try to find comparable photos of those lights (like [here](https://bikelightdatabase.com/beamshots)).
