As you can see, I messed up my rim.

I'm looking to do a rim swap as everything else still seems solid and it's low mileage.

Will be my first rim swap. Tips?

Should I get new spokes and nipples? (looking at a reserve 30hd asymmetrical rim, so I think it's relatively compatible with this specialized asymmetrical rim)

  1. i wouldn;t do it

i mean what is the actual probleM

if the tire seats and the rim doesn;t wobble…/??

    spokes all even tension still?

    can you re-true it?

  2. That little dent? Are you opposed to nudging it back with a pair of pliers? But if it holds air and seats I wouldn’t even mess with it

  3. If the rim is AL I would bet it is fine. your tire may have a near the bead and since that area flexes a lot it probably wont seal with sealant. You might be able to repair the tire by taking it off and cleaning the area then applying a tube patch to the damaged area.

  4. If you have disc brakes, rim imperfections are less important since rim brake pads aren’t involved.
