Hey everyone. I recently picked up a brand new Cube full-suspension bike. At first the front brake was super sweet- grippy, and almost instant stopping. After a few days of riding, it has developed this wet-like slipping noise when braking? They still stop super nicely, I was just wondering about any possible fixes.
The brakes are Magura MT5s with a 203mm disc.
Thanks in advance.

The disk is slightly out of true is my guess. Not enough for it to rub when not applying brakes but enough to vibrate the system when you do.
I think this is a common thing with Maguras. My shop described it as ‘warbling’. My MT7s make a similar noise under heavy braking. From what I understand it’s just a combination of the pads/rotors. Do you have the Storm HC rotors?
It’s the rotors, had this on my bike when i first got it and just swapped out the stock rotors and it stopped, not sure if there is any other way to fix it but that’s what did it for me.
I had this on my MT-7s, I tried swapping pads first and the noise was still there. So i swapped out the Disks from MDR-C to MDR-P and it cured the noise.
I think the issue is caused by the pads overlapping the cut-outs on the disk where as on the MDR-P disk the pads contact the entire disk surface.
