load a bike onto the bike rack on a bus you have to Stir It Up several stairs you must transport it from room to room he would be wise to choose something lighter if any of those statements were accurate the only drawback is that functional features must be sacrificed to achieve reduced weight choosing something that’s light enough to lift but too impractical to meet your demands on a regular basis defeats the objective public transportation or storage space is constrained a Dutch bike’s big wheel base makes for incredibly smooth riding additionally it creates a storage problem in compact areas the Dutch frequently keep their bicycles and garages or outside they’re required to be so weather resistant in the first place in part because of this however a foldable bike will make life a lot easier if your storage space is limited or you need to bring it on public transportation your desire a swift or forceful ride a Dutch bike doesn’t look like it was made for bracing or other aggressive riding nobody races on them for good purpose though even though lighter City bikes might feel more Nimble they still have accessories that are in the way when writing for sport visit your local bike store instead to test drive dozens of sporty bikes for any terrain you can imagine this is the realm of competitive cycling which is very different for narrow Twisted circumstances you require careful management touch Spike infrastructure is renowned for being well planned and intelligent as a result precise movements are incredibly uncommon you won’t frequently be forced to maneuver between vehicles or make sharp turns on a crowded sidewalk the above noted light and ponderous handling is acceptable when traveling smoothly and straight it is challenging to have a solid sense of what your steering input will do precisely where there’s little weight on the handlebars but in most other locations we need to be nimble in the city however we do require slightly different You forget one important thing by sitting upright you also have a much better view of the road and of the other road users around you
