The New Forest Explorers

A planned bike touring trip to Wales was aborted due to national weather warnings, so we headed down to the South West of the England in search of dry weather. I hope you enjoy!

And we’re off. Hello. Thanks for joining me on this 3-day bike touring trip from Froom in Sunset out to New Forest. Our original plan was Wales, but the weather forecast made us go south. Cheers, folks. I hope you enjoy. [Music] Oh yeah, this was awesome. It’s our first bit of proper open rolling flint covered byways. Such a good time. This kind of bush bashing has honestly become a joke for Tom and I. He apologized profusely, but honestly, I kind of like it. It adds to the uh adds to the adventure. [Applause] [Music] Ow. [Music] brakes off. So, what I didn’t catch on camera was that Tom actually took me out to a really nice pub in Hinden, which was just before this clip we’re seeing here. Oh, such a nice dinner. It rained for 2 hours, the only rain of the day. And that was all whilst we were in the pub having a pint and a dinner. Cheers, Tom. [Music] [Music] [Music] Hey Tom. Oh. [Laughter] [Music] This is so beautiful. I love this kind of The morning’s riding was again just so cool. So different to what we’re used to, but the a clayy claggy murder reel that’s stuck in our yards as well. This is us just leaving downtown. We had a nice little breakfast in the sun and watched the fish swimming in the chalk river. I think Tom wanted to go for a swim, but there was no way to get for the sake of 50 quid in the woods. Yeah. [Music] Oh boy. [Music] This is us just getting into the new forest for the first time. I have ridden here before in the past, but it’s so cool. It’s so different to being in the lakes for for us. Just nice being surrounded by the forest. [Music] Don’t have nobody to call my own. Turn on your mag. Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream. [Music] Mr. Sandman. Yes. Bring us a dream. Give him a fairly high. [Music] [Music] Here’s Tom in the woods cycle. Going to the woods was half the reason we did this trip. I think I’ve never been just old far from the internet, but it easily lived up to expectations. The coffee was good, the food was good, the bikes were good, the music was good. Just a great place. Thomas the Victor. [Music] Yeah. It doesn’t quite pick up. It won’t pick up the sun. It’s on [Music] [Music] Way to go. [Music] Day three of our trip started with an absolute stunner of a sunrise. I wouldn’t normally get up that early, but I hear Tom rustling and then I’m Today’s mission is just to get to the woods, load up on caffeine, and then ride through Southampton, hopefully to catch a train back. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] So, yeah, we caught our train in the end. Just a final stretch back to uh back to the car now. What a great weekend. I can’t wait to get back down.
