Inspired by my time as a messenger. I’ve had this frameset since I bought it at Bikes and More in Gainesville Florida in 2008. It’s been a touring bike that’s gone across many states, and my messenger bike in SF. It’s also done plenty of gravel rides. The chainstays broke near the BB three years ago, and I got them professionally internally stinted and rewelded and repainted by Garfield, the owner of ZenCog bikes in Jacksonville FL.

There are very many Easter eggs on this bike for all my seasoned vets out there, all fairly obvious. Can you spot them? I’ll follow this post, and explain the little flare later if no one picks up on my secrets. Again, these are not revolutionary secrets.

What’s the rubber covered chain thing attached to your seat and the frame? I have a bike I bought with one on it, and I cannot for the life of me figure out what it is, why it’s there, or how to take it off!

It also had a rubber thing on the post that I cut off to lower the seatpost, and now it spins like crazy. I wanna take it out and clean it, but I can’t get it out because of this rubber-covered chain thing!

edit: …I just googled it actually. Is it just a bike seat chain lock that’s designed for me to not get off, so people don’t steal the seat/post? I am feeling mighty dumb lol
